I'm SO glad God doesn't work on my timetable. It's positively appalling how many things I would have messed up BIG TIME if I'd been the one trying to arrange my life. Things I just knew I wanted, but realized later how disastrous my life would have been if I'd succeeded in obtaining what I thought I wanted so badly. Things that seemed great ideas at the time, but... dreadful horrors! If I had chosen... or if I had gone... or if I had done... or if I had... UGH. What a wonderful thing it is that God kept me from choosing, and going, and doing, and having... all those things I thought I desperately wanted and/or needed.
Thanks God! Your timing is awesome! And so are the perfect gifts you send me.
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." James 1:17
" For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." Psalm 84:11
And now, with hands much bigger than my own on the wheel, I'm standing speechless while I watch Him work.
"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" Ecc. 3:1
I love you, Jesus. I'm so very, very glad that You're the One in control of it all.
