I hope your day was full of fun, friends, and laughter. But I hope somewhere in your day, you remembered that freedom isn't free, and remembered to be thankful for those who gave everything so you could have the freedoms you now enjoy. Sometimes it's only too easy to focus on the freedoms that have been taken away. But I'm trying to remember that the freedoms I do have came at a great price to people I've never even been able to thank.
Even more than that, I'm thankful for the freedom I've found in Jesus. That's where TRUE freedom lies. Other freedoms can be bought, sold, earned, fought for, lost, and taken by force... but the freedom that Jesus brings... it's mine forever!
