I got this email from a friend. We're close to the same age, but she's a few years down the road in terms of family - husband, kids, homemaking. I liked what she shared with me, and wanted to post it here. Mostly so I can come back and re-read it at a future date, but also so another gal or two might find something good here. :-)
Here's what she said...
"A few things I always take note of: husbands will be always be men (sometimes even neanderthal ones ;p), kids will always be pits of wants and needs, and life rarely turns out the way you want it. True true, the good FAR outweighs the bad. Don't ever take what you have (kids, husband, home, good relationships) for granted. Besides, God destroyed Israel for complaining. And just because you get older, doesn't mean you have to grow up. Pick which disasters are worth fretting and getting freaked out over (not all of them are). Don't hold grudges. Don't ever allow yourself to feel justified in being rude, mean, or unkind to your spouse (even if they deserve it)."
Thanks, Noemi. :-)
