Gentlemanly and Beyond...

*Big eyes* I’ve never seen this happen before…. But it was very sweet of him.

As some of you know, I live in an area where men don’t seem to open doors often for ladies. If it happens two or three times in one week, I figure I met more than the usual number of gentlemen. Well… today I was helping a customer carry some framed art out to her vehicle (she had about ten bags of books and toys, and 4-5 pieces of framed art), and when I helped her load the stuff into her car, I started running back towards the store entrance. (Yes, I really was running, and no, that’s not terribly ladylike.) A couple was walking towards the doors as I approached, and the gentleman must have heard my running footsteps coming up behind them, because he started running towards the door, and pulled it open a split-second before I got there. *big eyes* Opening doors, I’ve seen… but I’ve never once seen a gentleman RUN to get to the door ahead of a lady. Now _that’s_ going above and beyond the gentleman status.
