1) I am very random. If you don't know this by now, you soon will.
2) Once upon a time I cut my thumb on a Raman noodle. Yes, really. It's in ancient family history. But don't believe everything my brother tells you about it.
3) Once upon a time I slit my wrist on a loaf of french bread. No, I'm not lying. I really did. You can ask my family. They're never going to let me live that one down.
4) I'm afraid of spiders, no matter the size.
5) I love stargazing, but particularly when I'm with the right people.. err... person. *cough*
6) I have a hard time believing anyone could believe in evolution. Yes, really. And no, I don't really want to debate the point right now. *laugh*
7) Psalm 119 is one of my all-time favorite passages of Scripture. Yes, I know it's the longest chapter in the Bible. I haven't been raised in a pastor's home for nothing. *grin*
8) I'm continually amazed by the God I serve, and am extremely humbled and grateful that He has chosen me to be known as His. His grace is a wonderful thing. And His love makes me speechless.
9) People who don't know me well think I'm quiet. People who do, wish I was.
10) I'm a fan of dill pickles (not sweet! *shudder*), Christmas (don't try to change my mind - it won't work... people have tried), hot tea, candles, classical music, Flower Fairies, homemade presents, molasses cookies, kids, and pirates (NOT Pirates of the Caribbean, just... pirates. You know... good old fashioned pirates. That roar and bellow, and have a patch over one eye, and hide their gold in caves.)
11) I don't like mangos, pecan pie, crude jokes, or gifts that come with strings attached.
12) My favorite authors include Louisa M. Alcott, Randy Alcorn, Stephanie G. Whitson, Grace S. Richmond, CS Lewis, Linda Dillow, and Ron Mehl.
13) I like walking in the rain, and dancing in the snow. And I like dancing in the rain, and walking in the snow, too. Either way. Life is good when I'm doing those things.
14) Skipping the number 13 is utter silliness in my not-so-humble-opinion.
15) I almost never wear flipflops. You'll usually find me in clogs, or for dressy ocassions - low to mid height heels.
16) I like the fact that Chris is still a lot taller than me, even when I'm wearing my highest heels. (Oh, get over it. You knew I'd bring him up in here sooner or later. :P )
17) George Muller is someone I wish I were more like.
18) I'm thankful to be 4th (or is it 5th??) generation Pentecostal, but I don't ever want to forget that it's only MY relationship with God that will do me any good. Someone else's prayer life won't help me know God better. Only mine will.
19) I don't like talking on the phone. A fifteen minute conversation on the phone is a long one.
20) I DESPISE shopping!! Unless we're talking bookstores. In which case, you'll be lucky if you see me again that day at all.
21) Someday I want to visit Bovec, Slovenia. And then Italy. And then I want to see England again. And then... *grin* I don't want much. Just the moon. *wink* But seriously...
22) The simple things in life are the things that mean the most. Like an unexpected "I love you", a surprise visit from a good friend, a letter in the mail, a wild daisy growing through the sidewalk, a startled baby deer by a stream, an arm around my shoulder, or an email from a long-distance friend for no reason than to say they missed me.
23) Trust doesn't come easy for me. Maybe I've seen too much with my Dad having been a pastor for most of my life. Or maybe it's because of what I've watched some of my friends go through. Either way, if you're on my trusted list, you should count yourself privileged. *smile*
24) Until sometime in the 3 years or so I found it difficult to make friends. Being painfully shy is a dreadful thing. I have to force myself to talk to people even now, but it's slowly becoming easier. Sooo... if you've thought I seemed like a snob, really I'm not. I guess for a long time I didn't like myself so much, I figured no one else would either. *shrug*
25) God gave me a whole new picture of Himself during 2008. It's far too long of a story to type here, but if you ask me about it sometime, I'll be happy to tell you. *smile*
